Announcing the First Computer Giveaway

Here’s the specs on the first giveaway computer:

Power adapter is included, but not pictured above.

Linux pre-installed

Since this is the first giveaway drawing, I’m not sure what Linux distro I will pre-install. Perhaps I’ll install whatever the winner asks for. Maybe I’ll decide a Distro of The Week to go with each giveaway.

Devuan User Forums

One of my fediverse followers let me know that there’s a Forum dedicated to Devuan Users. Looks like there’s a good amount of info there about creating Devuan based “spins”, kind of like your own distro.

A “distro” is short for Software Distribution. It is a bundled collection of software and settings around Linux (usually). I am a big fan of the idea of eventually creating my own distro, but would like it to be based on something like Artix, Devuan or even NetBSD.
